Capsule Monitoring

pH Monitoring system: the catheter-free pH capsule is revolutionizing pH testing with a capsule that collects pH data and transmits it via radio frequency telemetry to a small external pager-sized receiver worn by the patient. This test is done for reflux disease which affects 20 million Americans. This device allows for greater patient comfort during the testing process.

Capsule endoscopy: the small bowel capsule uses a small camera pill that is ingested. The camera sends images of the small intestine to a small data recorder worn around the patient's waist. The images are used by the physician for diagnosis of bleeding disorders which cannot be visualized by traditional endoscopy.
